Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website ( I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

  1. Well this has really thrown me.
I always thought as soon as I hit the slot on the downswing I had to turn the body through. It’s a move I find very difficult due to a left hip replacement.
This looks to be more achievable.
Also love the idea of swing the weight of the club head, I have a terrible habit of muscling it.
Must dash to the broom cupboard.🏃🏻‍♂️

  2. Great vid as usual Danny. I think you would have a pretty good slapshot for hockey first crack at it.

  3. Aloha Danny at 7:32 you discuss gripping the club tightly. This is a huge issue I have noticed with most recreational golfers such as myself. My problem is the opposite I hold the club too loose with my right hand (right handed player), which causes the club to turn in my hand. Once the club turns its goodluck from there. Since, I have noticed that I have to literally tell myself during the swing hold on to the club and it is a chore. As long as I keep my right hand gripped through the swing viola baby draws with 30-40 yard increased distance. I went from 220 or 230 to 260 to 270. The other day I watched a really decent player and he had the same issue. As the round continued I watched his right hand go from the "v" pointing to his right shoulder to the "v" almost pointing the left shoulder by the end of the round. His shots became more inconsistent from push fades to snap pulls. I feel its very key too help players understand the importance of a consistent grip. The holding the baby bird cue is terrible. Also, another good practice tip that has helped me for a better swing plane is overexaggerating the "v" made with your arms keeping both elbows abnormally tight to the body while swinging back and through. Like you mentioned golf is counterintuitive. I had to come with my own cues by borrowing from you to really help me be a more consistent player. The grip can easily be missed by golf instructors, because it seems too primary. For those struggling with distance and ball striking consistency check your grip pressure and check if club moves in your bottom grip hand.

  4. Question(s): Will this basic swing put me slightly ahead of the ball at impact? Will my hands and the top of the club follow ahead of the ball? Or do I hold it back and keep the shaft, my hands even with the ball at impact? I was taught to LEAD the ball slightly with my hands, and shaft of club. This causes my weight to shift from 50/50 balance on both feet, to 90/10 balance on my left foot at the end of the swing. The basis swing is totally balanced back to front, and from right to left, until swing is complete, and your head and shoulders follow the flight path of the ball. What am I getting wrong here? Confused a bit! Thanks Danny

  5. Thank you for your videos and excellent way of teaching. Can’t wait to apply this on the course.

  6. Kept telling myself yesterday, “let the club do the work” now I know how to apply it. And yes sorry honey I need the broom for a couple of hours, the floors can wait! Lol🤷🏼‍♂️

  7. Martin Hall….Martin Chuck……David leadbetter….Dave Pelz. You’re next! You have the gift to explain in plain English this great game.

  8. Thanks for breaking it down Danny, this routine is brilliant! Can't wait to start hitting straighter and further.
