  1. Really nice, exactly what I'm working on this winter, trying to get away from my armsy swing and use my body to generate speed. It does initially feel like I'm sacrificing control not gripping the club tightly and forcing the swing from my hands and arms. For just the past week I'm practicing swings with a very light grip and using my shoulder turn to move my arms up into the backswing keeping my arms very relaxed, really almost no effort in the arms at all. Then the downswing motion is initiated from the lower body and I let the shoulders rotate through to that heart to the sky finish. So far club speed is up a few mph and while 'm not focusing on targets yet, strikes are generally good and I think control will be fine once I've adjusted to the new sequence. Thanks, I'm enjoying these lessons.

  2. My struggle is not leaving my arms β€˜behind’ as I’m rotating my upper half. This was really helpful!
