  1. I never really think about early or late wrist cocking, what I do concentrate on is feeling the pressure/weight of any club on my left thumb (RH golfer) at the top of the backswing.. When I feel this I feel as though I am stopping for a fraction of a second at the top although I am not.. I find this keeps my grip soft and gives me good extension.. Fishermen will know this thumb feeling when line casting..
